Tuesday, March 3rd  - First Presbyterian Dialogue Group

Here are some selected quotes from notes taken at the last meeting of this dialogue group.

".proposed for discussion was racial bias in the jail and prison populations.  There is a clear disproportion of black inmates incarcerated as compared to their percentage of the general population"  and

"There seemed to be a distinct shift in the tone of the discussion this week because many in the group felt an urgent need for concerted action to  address one or another of these issues (or possibly an issue to be identified by the participants)."

The full text can be found on our website www.onecolumbus.org under "dialogue groups" along with notes from former sessions.

Now may be a good time to join.

The session begins at 6:30 pm in the Library of the First Presbyterian Church downtown.  Enter the church on First Avenue across from the CB&T parking garage between 11th and 12th Streets.
