This dialogue group continues its investigation of probation
services in Muscogee County and black history in the Muscogee
County School District. If you have knowledge that would help
the group make an informed decision about these two issues, you
would be welcome.
The session begins at 6:30 pm in the
Library of the First Presbyterian Church downtown. Enter the

March 21 - "Super Saturday" for
taxpayers
The IRS is spearheading a
cross-functional campaign to promote March 21, 2009,
as Super Saturday to get free tax help. Super
Saturday is a nationwide effort designated as a day to provide
extra service to taxpayers, particularly those who are
experiencing difficulties during these stressful
economic times.
We want to offer taxpayers help
through the hundreds of venues, both in IRS offices, at partner
sites across the country and online where they can get free tax
assistance. To find the locations of Taxpayer Assistance
Centers please visit http://www.irs.gov/localcontacts/
or call 1-800-829-1040. Free File Tax Software is
available on
www.irs.gov where
taxpayers can select a company from the Free File Alliance.
This service is free for most taxpayers with adjusted gross
incomes of $56,000 or less.
.March 21 - Free CPR offered by Red Cross
The American Red Cross West Central GA Chapter will offer free
CPR training and certification in the following locations listed
below.
In addition, the Red Cross will be traveling to
surrounding counties to distribute materials including fire
prevention and tornado safety.
